"I, of course could not imagine living without my loyal, super smart, loving companion with the quirky personality. We've been together
for almost 6 years through thick and
thin."

Make a financial donation

Pay by check using our general donation form or click here for the Network for Good donation form . You may earmark your donation for any of our special programs and funds.

Or contact us for more information about any of the following donation options:

Outright gift options:
- Marketable securities or property;
- Corporate giving (many corporations encourage their employees to recommend their favorite charities for outright gifts);
- Matching gifts (many corporations have matching gifts programs, which could double the value of your gift. Ask your company if they participate in a matching grant program).

Planned giving options:
- Bequests through a gift or living will;
- Donating your interest in IRA, 402(K), 403(b), Keogh or other qualified savings plans;
- Making JAC the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy;
- Creating a Charitable Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust (provides numerous benefits to you, and you are guaranteed income for the rest of your life).

Foster one of our pets
Our dogs and cats wait patiently for homes while spending most of their time in crates, and some become depressed. A wonderful way of helping these deserving creatures is to foster one (or more!) of them. It's a perfect way to have a pet for a short time. By your giving our pets security, love, and care, you will be giving them a better chance to find a permanent home!

All that we ask is that you keep the pet between Adoption Days, at which time he or she will be shown for adoption. However, we would be grateful for your cooperation in also showing this pet at your convenience, should a prospective adopter want to see him or her beforehand.

Encourage corporate giving
Many corporations encourage their employees to recommend their favorite charities for outright gifts. Corporations may also have matching gifts programs, which could double the value of your gift. Ask your company if they participate in a matching grant program.

Walk a dog!
Have you always wanted to form a relationship with a dog? Now you can, even if it's just for an hour or two a month! To see what times you may volunteer and how to get started, please read our
Dog Walking & Cat Socializing schedule.

Socialize our cats
We need volunteers to play with our cats and take their pictures for our website. To see what times you may volunteer and how to get started, please read our Dog Walking & Cat Socializing schedule.

Volunteer for our monthly Open Animal Houses or other regular events
We need volunteers to hold our dogs during our Open Animal Houses. We also need volunteers to help out during other events. To volunteer, please call Lila at (973) 377-3447.

Help us to maintain our website
We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain our website. If you know HTML, Photoshop, or if you have other technical services you can donate, we need your help! Volunteering your talents in a supportive environment can help you to develop these skills for your professional career.

Use your special skills!
Do you have other special skills that you think JAC would benefit from, such as digital photography, animal training, fundraising, marketing, or graphic design? Volunteering your talents in a supportive environment can help you to develop these skills for your professional career.

Spread the word about animal welfare
One of the best ways you can help JAC and all homeless animals is to spread the word about:
- JAC and the work we do;
- the wonderful pets that have been abandoned and that are waiting in shelters for loving homes;
- the importance of spaying and neutering;
- the importance of obedience training for dogs; and
- pet owner responsibilities.

By sharing information, we can all help reduce the number of abused and abandoned animals as well as help find loving families for the homeless pets in shelters.
